Medicinal plants is a resource that nature gives us and that contain active ingredients that can be used to cure various diseases or ailments. The objective of the present investigation is to determine which medicinal plants used as an alternative treatment for musculoskeletal system disorders residents of the District of Pucará - Huancayo; likewise, the scientific method was applied, whose type of research is basic and the level of research is descriptive. As a result of the research carried out, the following information was obtained: The medicinal plants used for disorders of the locomotor system are: cola de horse, dandelion, molle, nettle, pulmonary, oregano, arnica, yarrow, rosemary, laurel, lavender, mint, valerian and vulnerary; likewise, medicinal plants before mentioned, are used to treat conditions of the locomotor system, such as: cramps, contracture, distension, muscular dystrophy, muscle fiber breakage, tendinitis, arthritis, sprains, fractures, osteoporosis and rheumatism; likewise, 83% of villagers if they know about the proper use of the medicinal plants used as an alternative treatment in locomotor system conditions; in the same way, The forms of preparation of the medicinal plants referred to above, are: infusion, crushed, steamed, boiled and others like crushed, poultice, etc., and 88% of villagers responded that the proper use of medicinal plants would be a alternative treatment to reduce costs and problems related to medicine.
