The objective of this work was to demonstrate the antifungal effect of the oil and ethanolic extract of Melissa oficcinalis (lemon balm) against Candida albicans. The well diffusion method was used to determine the antifungal effect of the plant. The results showed that the ethanolic extract of lemon balm against Candida albicans at 50% obtained an inhibition halo of 11.87 mm and at 100% it was 14.73, on the other hand, the oil of lemon balm at 50% had inhibition halos of 47.59 mm and at 100% it was 52.42 mm, likewise, the negative control used (ethanol) obtained inhibition halo of 5.91 mm and the positive control obtained halo of 32.11 mm. It is concluded that the oil and ethanolic extract of Melissa oficcinalis (lemon balm) has an antimycotic effect against Candida albicans
