The present study aims to evaluate the anti-inflammatory activity of the ointment formulated with the hydroalcoholic extract of the leaves of Phyllanthus amarus Schumacha. & Thonn (chanca piedra) in albino mice". To carry out the research, an experimental design was applied; the vegetable sample was represented by 250 grams of leaves of Phyllanthus amarus Schumacha. The results show that the percentage of inhibition of the inflammation of the auricle of the right ear of the mice (23.17%) was higher than the other concentrations of the ointments (1 and 3%) but lower than diclofenac cream at 1% (30.56%). In conclusion, the ointment based on the hydroalcoholic extract showed anti-inflammatory activity in mice.
