The aim of this study was to establish the level of association between factors and adherence to pharmacological treatment in hypertensive patients treated at the Hospital Militar Central Lima. The study method was observational, prospective, cross-sectional, correlational, non-experimental; the sample consisted of 79 hypertensive patients. The results showed that 89.6% were female, 52.1% were between 18 and 25 years of age. Regarding the factors associated with the therapeutic regimen, 91.7% took only one medication, 62.5% related the disease to the medication, 43.8% took their medication once a day, and 47.9% had no adverse reactions. In conclusion, the level of adherence to pharmacological treatment was 60.8% in hypertensive patients treated at the Hospital Militar Central Lima.
