The objective of the research was to determine the effectiveness of the educational intervention on knowledge of contraceptive methods in adolescents of the fifth year of secondary school of the I.E. Inmaculada, Curahuasi - 2020. Method: The design is of the pre-experimental type, a descriptive, prospective study was carried out. The sample is made up of 73 students from the fifth grade of secondary school. The data was obtained through a validated virtual questionnaire. Results: Before the educational intervention 44% responded that if they received information about contraceptive methods, then after the interventions it rose to 90% indicating that they received information from a health professional; about the correct taking of oral contraceptives increased from 44% to 66% after the educational intervention; The use of injectable contraceptives increased from 8% to 68% after the educational intervention; similarly, the use of the emergency pill increased from 54% to 89% after the educational intervention. With regard to students' knowledge of voluntary surgical contraceptive methods, 37% of students knew about them before the educational intervention and 85% after the intervention. Conclusion: An increase in the level of knowledge of contraceptive methods can be observed with respect to before and after the educational intervention
