Interacciones medicamentosas de los antiácidos prescritos en pacientes geriátricos que acuden a la botica Red de Salud Valle del Mantaro.

Abstract

La presente investigación tiene por objetivo identificar las reacciones adversas e interacciones medicamentosas por consumo de antiácidos en pacientes geriátricos que acuden a la Red de Salud Valle del Mantaro. El método es de tipo básico, transversal, es descriptivo. La muestra la constituyeron 132 pacientes geriátricos. Los resultados indican que el 68,9% son del sexo femenino, el 59,8% de los pacientes tienen entre 65 a 70 años, que el 63,6% proceden de la zona urbana y el 36,4% proceden de la zona rural. El tipo de antiácido de mayor consumo en pacientes geriátricos es el antiácido Hidróxido de aluminio / hidróxido de magnesio. En conclusión, los pacientes geriátricos presentaron náuseas, vómitos, reacciones adversas a los antiácidos cuando toman más dosis de lo indicado o cuando consumen antiácidos combinados con otros fármacos.

The objective of this research is to identify adverse reactions and drug interactions due to the consumption of antacids in geriatric patients attending the Mantaro Valley Health Network. The method is basic, cross-sectional, descriptive. The sample consisted of 132 geriatric patients. The results indicate that 68.9% are female, 59.8% of the patients are between 65 and 70 years of age, 63.6% come from the urban area and 36.4% come from the rural area. The type of antacid with the highest consumption in geriatric patients is the antacid aluminum hydroxide/magnesium hydroxide. In conclusion, geriatric patients presented nausea, vomiting, adverse reactions to antacids when taking more doses than indicated or when consuming antacids combined with other drugs.
