Antimicrobials are chemicals produced by various species of microorganisms (bacteria, fungi, actinomycetes) Able to stop the growth (bacteriostatic effect) or destroy (bactericidal effect) a bacterial population. Per unit dose dispensing is the professional act pharmacist regarding the specific quantity of a drug as a treatment dose for a patient, whose packaging allows safe and direct administration at a specified time. the aim of this research is to determine the antimicrobial dispensed per unit dose in the service of neonatology intensive care unit at regional hospital mother and child ""el Carmen"" in 2015. As a result of our research in the service of the icu neonatology at regional hospital mother and child ""el Carmen"" during the months of january to december 2015, it has been obtained relevant information concerning: the antimicrobial therapy group dispensed per unit dose; also antimicrobials dispensed by dosage form according unit dose (injectables, tablets and drops) and concentration finally all antimicrobial dispensed per unit dose.
