The objective of this research was to determine the levels of lead, cadmium and arsenic in orange juice sold in the Puente Nuevo-El Agustino bus stop during the period February 2022. The research design was non-experimental, prospective and cross-sectional. The population was represented by 12 stands that sell orange juice on an ambulatory basis at the Puente Nuevo-El Agustino bus stop. The analysis of heavy metals in the study sample was carried out using the Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry technique at the LABICER laboratory of the Faculty of Sciences of the National University of Engineering. The levels of heavy metals reported in orange juice sold in the Puente Nuevo-El Agustino bus stop were: lead less than 0.32 ppm, cadmium less than 0.02 ppm and arsenic less than 1.23 ppm. The levels of lead and arsenic found in orange juices exceeded the maximum permissible limit established by the Codex alimentarius (≤ 0.05 ppm); while the levels of cadmium found in orange juices sold did not exceed the maximum permissible limit established by the Codex alimentarius (≤ 0.05 ppm). The results demonstrate the presence of lead, cadmium and arsenic in orange juices sold in ambulatory form at the Puente Nuevo-El Agustino bus stop
