The objective of the following research is to determine the obstetric and fetal risk factors associated with emergency cesarean section at the Hospital Regional Docente Materno Infantil El Carmen-2022. The method was quantitative and retrospective, correlational, the sample assigned was 288 cesarean deliveries, the instrument was a data collection form. The results found were that short inter-gestational period, imminent uterine rupture, prolonged expulsion and Hellp syndrome were the maternal obstetric factors; breech presentation and fetal macrosomia were fetal obstetric factors; and total placenta previa was an obstetric ovarian factor associated with cesarean section. In conclusion, the obstetric factors associated with emergency cesarean delivery are significantly maternal obstetric factors.
