The general objective of this study was to determine what is the influence of the distance of the light guide on the intensity of photopolymerization of LED devices in dentistry, Huancayo 2019. Regarding the study sequence methodology, it was cross-sectional, prospective and according to the level it was explanatory. The sample consisted of 10 photopolymerization units. Regarding the results, it is observed that at a distance 0mm away from the light guide, the intensity is on average 100% and 1mm, on average the light intensity decreases to 95%; at 2mm, at 90%; at 3mm, 84%; at 4mm, 77%; at 5mm, at 70% and at 6mm, at 63%. According to the time of use and the brand of the curing devices, no significant differences were found in the decrease in light intensity, with respect to the general average, and as a conclusion it indicates that the distance influences the light intensity
