The research is analytical, cross-sectional, prospective with experimental design and control groups, the antibacterial effect was demonstrated by the well diffusion technique and analyzed by statistical tests with a confidence level of 95%. The objective was to demonstrate the antibacterial effect of A. E of Melissa officinalis "lemon balm" and Origanum vulgare "oregano" against E.Coli. The result for lemon balm oil at 50% and 100% was 10.36 + 0.30mm and 12.05 + 0.31 respectively; likewise, oregano oil at 50% and 100% was 11.68 +- 0.29mm and 15.28 +-0.36mm; the negative control (DMS) 6.17 +-0.20mm and the positive control (ciprofloxacin) 30.35 +-0.32mm. It was concluded that both oils have antibacterial effect on Escherichia coli
