Efecto antimicótico del aceite esencial de Origanum Vulgare (orégano) sobre Candida Albicans.

Abstract

La presente investigación tiene por objetivo determinar el efecto antimicótico el aceite esencial de Origanum vulgare (orégano) sobre Candida albicans La investigación se basó en un modelo cuantitativo, transversal, prospectivo, de diseño experimental in vitro, la muestra estuvo conformada por Origanum vulgare (orégano). Como resultado se obtuvo halos de inhibición de 19.12mm, 16.57mm y 15.46mm para el aceite esencial de Origanum vulgare al 100%, 75% y 50% respectivamente, los controles positivo y negativo obtuvieron halos de 36.07mm y 6.07mm, respectivamente, la nistatina presentó mayor actividad antifúngica que el aceite de orégano. En conclusión, se logró determinar el efecto antimicótico del aceite esencial de Origanum vulgare (orégano) sobre Candida albicans.

The present research aims to determine the antifungal effect of the essential oil of Origanum vulgare (oregano) on Candida albicans. The research was based on a quantitative, cross-sectional, prospective, in vitro experimental design model, the sample consisted of Origanum vulgare (oregano). As a result, inhibition halos of 19.12 mm, 16.57 mm and 15.46 mm were obtained for the essential oil of Origanum vulgare at 100%, 75% and 50%, respectively; the positive and negative controls obtained halos of 36.07 mm and 6.07 mm, respectively; nystatin showed greater antifungal activity than oregano oil. In conclusion, the antifungal effect of Origanum vulgare (oregano) essential oil on Candida albicans was determined.
