Nivel de conocimiento de higiene oral y grado de inflamación gingival en pacientes gestantes de Ayacucho, 2022

Abstract

El objetivo general fue determinar la relación entre el nivel de conocimiento de higiene oral y el grado de inflamación gingival en pacientes gestantes de Ayacucho, 2022. El estudio fue de tipo básico, en cuanto al diseño metodológico fue no experimental, descriptivo, correlacional y transversal. La muestra estuvo conformada por 81 pacientes que acudieron al servicio de odontología de los cuales fueron seleccionados con la técnica de muestreo probabilístico aleatorio simple. Para la recolección de la información se utilizó la técnica de observación, los instrumentos usados fueron un cuestionario sobre el nivel de conocimiento de higiene oral y el índice gingival de Silness y Loe los cuales fueron registrados a través del Alpha de Combrach y Kuder y Richardson.

The general objective was to determine the relationship between the level of oral hygiene knowledge and the degree of gingival inflammation in pregnant patients in Ayacucho, 2022. The study was of basic type, and the methodological design was non-experimental, descriptive, correlational and cross-sectional. The sample consisted of 81 patients who attended the dentistry service and were selected using the simple random probabilistic sampling technique. The instruments used were a questionnaire on the level of knowledge of oral hygiene and the gingival index of Silness and Loe, which were registered through the Alpha of Combrach and Kuder and Richardson.
