The induction of labor in chronologically prolonged pregnancies is associated with a reduction of perinatal death; the objective was to evaluate the percentage of the use of misoprostol in the induction of labor, for which the methodology was used, basic type, descriptive level and non-experimental, cross-sectional and retrospective design, with a population of 28 pregnant women attended for labor induced with Misoprostol, obtaining the following results: As general characteristics of the pregnant women induced to labor, 29 % between the ages of 20 to 24 years old. In conclusion, there is a 30% of pregnant women in whom Misoprostol was used for the induction of labor being an important alternative.
