The study determined the relationship between deaths due to traffic accidents and blood alcohol levels reported in the morgue of Chiclayo during 2019, for which the study sample was taken as a sample of registered deaths due to traffic accidents. It was obtained that the cause of death was Accidental with 31.4%, the percentage of deaths due to traffic accident was 54.9%, of these 88.7% presented a positive alcohol level. The alcohol levels that presented the highest number of cases were drunkenness and absolute drunkenness with 33.9% and 53.2% respectively; the sex with the highest prevalence was male with 85.5%. It is concluded that there is a relationship between alcohol consumption (BAC) and deaths due to traffic accidents
