The objective of this research was to identify compliance with good prescribing practices for respiratory diseases in prescriptions filled at Ruthfarma Apothecary. The study was deductive, cross-sectional, prospective, quantitative, non-experimental, and the sample consisted of 79 prescriptions. The results show that for colds, 35.4% were prescriptions for mucolytics; and 19.0% were prescriptions for expectorants; for respiratory diseases, 27.8% were prescriptions for Betalactams; 39.2% were prescriptions for NSAIDs prescribed for asthma. In conclusion, it was determined that 84.8% compliance with good prescribing practices for respiratory conditions.
