The OBJECTIVE of the research is to determine the effect of pharmacotherapeutic follow-up (PTS) on therapeutic adherence in patients with arterial hypertension at CAP II - Essalud - Chupaca. We used an applied METHODOLOGY, descriptive level and pre-experimental design with pre- and post-test in a single group, applied to a total sample of 71 patients. The RESULTS found that total adherence before SFT was 4% and 30% afterwards, partial adherence was 92% and 70% afterwards, and finally non-adherence was 4% and 0% afterwards. The CONCLUSION was that SFT increases the levels of therapeutic adherence
