The aim of this study was to evaluate the impact of sociodemographic determinants on adherence to pharmacological treatment in users with signs of disease. The study method was a non-experimental, cross-sectional design, with a sample of 120 infectious users. The results show that 55.9% of the adults showed high adherence and 55.9% of the older adults showed medium adherence. Finally, 54% of people belonging to a low socioeconomic level also have low adherence, while 82.7% have high adherence. In conclusion, the results reveal notable disparities in adherence to pharmacological treatment among different age groups and socioeconomic levels.
