The plant sample was the leaves of Eucalyptus globulus (eucalyptus) and the biological sample was the Escherichia coli strain, the ethanolic extracts used were at concentrations of 50%, 75% and 100%. The ethanolic extract of eucalyptus at 100% against Escherichia coli obtained an average inhibition halo of 13.61 + 0.30mm; 10.69 + 0.30mm at 75%, and at 50% it was 9.35 + 0.42mm; on the other hand, the negative control used was ethanol and obtained an inhibition halo of 6.83 + 0.22mm and the positive control obtained a halo of 24.18 + 0.25mm. It was concluded that by means of the well diffusion technique with Mueller Hinton agar, it was confirmed that the metabolites of Eucalyptus globulus leaves have an antibacterial effect on Escherichia coli.
