Abstract: En el presente trabajo de investigación se determinó los Problemas Relacionados al Medicamento en pacientes hospitalizados en el servicio de Medicina Interna del Hospital Regional Docente Clínico Quirúrgico “Daniel Alcides Carrión”. En donde se realizó 49 Seguimientos Farmacoterapéuticos a pacientes hospitalizados en los meses de Junio y Julio, pudiéndose identificar un total de 93 PRM (Problema Relacionado al Medicamento) (100%), de los cuales, 58 (62.37%) fueron PRM de Necesidad, 19 (20.43%) fueron PRM de Seguridad y 16 (17.20%) fueron PRM de Efectividad. Se concluyó que la mayor incidencia de PRM fueron de Necesidad seguido por Seguridad y Efectividad, siendo la causa más frecuente de PRM.

In the present work of investigation the Problems related to the Medicine in patients hospitalized in the service of Internal Medicine of the Regional Clinical and Surgical Teaching Hospital “Daniel Alcides Carrión“ were determined. Where 49 Pharmacotherapeutic Follow-ups were performed on hospitalized patients in the months of June and July, a total of 93 PRM (Problem related to Medication) (100%) could be identified, of which 58 (62.37%) were PRM of Need, 19 (20.43%) were PRM of Security and 16 (17.20%) were PRM of Effectiveness. It was concluded that the highest incidence of PRM were Necessity followed by Safety and Effectiveness, being the most frequent cause of PRM.
