The purpose was to determine the relationship between maternal knowledge about complementary feeding and the growth and development of children from 6 to 12 months of the San Jerónimo / Huancayo Health Center 2016. The Methodology used was Descriptive and correlational cross-sectional with a sample of 65 mothers and their children from 6 to 12 months of age. The data was collected with a questionnaire and the child's comprehensive health care card. The results confirm the alternate general hypothesis according to the Pearson correlation values table. It is shown that our correlation data is 0.571 among the variables with a significance of 0.00, in conclusion it is demonstrated that there is a significant moderate correlation given than the value found in the next. (bilateral) is less than 0.05. Among maternal knowledge about complementary feeding with the growth and development of children from 6 to 12 months of the San Jerónimo / Huancayo Health Center 2016; the general null hypothesis is rejected. Arriving at the following conclusions: It is observed that of 65 mothers (100%), 26 mothers (40%) know about complementary feeding of which 17 children (26.2%) have an adequate growth; 9 children (13.8%) have an inadequate growth and 26 children (40%) have a normal development and 39 mothers (80%) do not know about complementary feeding of which 33 children (50.8%) have adequate growth and 6 children ( 9.2%) have inadequate growth and 38 children (58.5%) have a normal development and 1 child (1.5%) has a developmental disorder.
