Objective: To determine the relationship between family functioning and resilience in vulnerable families during the post-pandemic period in a human settlement in the Carabayllo district. Materials and Methods: Quantitative research approach. Cross-sectional correlational design. The population consisted of 150 households, with a sample of 140 homes. The applied technique was the survey, using the FACES III instruments and the Brief Resilient Coping Scale (BRC). Results: There was found a significant association in the findings between family functioning and resilience (p-value = 0.00 < 0.05). Additionally, a significant relationship was observed between the dimensions of family functioning, cohesion and family adaptability with resilience. Regarding the cohesion dimension, it was found that the majority of families were of the connected and separated type (36.4% and 32.1%). Meanwhile, in the family adaptability dimension, the majority of families were of the flexible and chaotic type (60% and 32.1%). In the evaluation of family functioning according to the circumplex model, most families were in the balanced and mid-range system. The resilience level found was low, followed by an average level. Conclusions: A significant association was found between family functioning and resilience. Connected and flexible families predominate. In the circumplex model, there is a predominance of mid-range and balanced families. The prevailing level of resilience was low.
