Objective: To determine the knowledge and practices regarding biosecurity measures to prevent nosocomial diseases among nursing staff of a Private Clinic in northern Lima. Materials and Methods: This is a quantitative approach study with ordinal measurement, which present information through the descriptive method. The population consisted of 110 nurses. The data collection technique was a questionnaire and an observation guide. Results: Regarding the knowledge of biosecurity measures among nurses, the distribution is as follows: 90 participants, representing 81.82%, had a regular level of knowledge, followed by 16 participants, representing 14.55%, with a good level of knowledge, and finally, 4 participants, representing 3.64%, had a poor level of knowledge. As for practices, the distribution is as follows: 56 participants, representing 50.91%, showed inadequate practices, while 54 participants, representing 49.09%, demonstrated adequate practices. Conclusions: The knowledge about biosecurity measures among nurses of a Private Clinic in northern Lima is rated as regular, and the practices to prevent nosocomial diseases are considered inadequate.
