Teacher knowledge about playful strategies to promote social skills in primary education students is an interesting and at the same time understudied topic, since they have been used more frequently to respond to cognitive development problems. Therefore, this study proposed as a general objective to determine the level of knowledge that teachers have about these strategies to promote social skills. To accompany this process, a quantitative methodology of a simple descriptive and non-experimental cross-sectional design was used. The instrument used was a Likert-type questionnaire with a total of 14 items organized in 3 dimensions: socio-motor educational games, group games and creative games; these were validated by 3 experts and applied with the virtual survey technique. The sample consisted of 51 teachers from various private primary schools in Lima-North (Peru). Preliminary results showed an instrumental validity KMO of .87 and a Cronbach's Alpha reliability of .93. Likewise, descriptive statistics revealed a mean of 3.27 for sociomo tor educational games, 4.00 for group games and 4.00 for creative games. In conclusion, the teachers' level of knowledge about ludic strategies to promote social skills is good, since it is at value 4 on the scale, indicating that teachers almost always know and apply play strategies to promote social skills.
