Objective: To determine the perception of quality of life in oncologic patients at the Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen Hospital in Lima, 2022. Materials and methods: Quantitative approach with a non-experimental, descriptive cross-sectional design. The population consisted of 130 cancer patients attending the oncology service. The data collection technique was the survey and the instrument used for this research was the questionnaire on quality of life (Whoqol-Bref), which is composed of 26 items and four dimensions. Results: Regarding the quality of life in oncologic patients, it was found a low level with 58.5% (n=76), on the other hand, 26.2% (n=34) had a medium level of quality of life and finally, 15.4% (n=20) had a high level of quality of life. Concerning the dimensions, the low level predominated in all of them with 63.1% (n=82) in physical health, 36.2% (n=47) in psychological health, 56.2% (n=73) in social relations and 63.1% (n=82) in the environmental dimension. Conclusions: It was evidenced that the majority of oncologic patients showed a low score of quality of life, of whom the dimensions of physical quality of life and environmental quality of life had the lowest score in contrast with the dimension of psychological health, which had a homogeneous distribution among the three levels of quality of life.
