Due to the pandemic caused by COVID 19, many students found themselves in need of being able to develop their learning on their own because they did not have the accompaniment of the classroom teacher. In this sense, the objective of this research is to "Determine the relationship that exists between familia support and the learning of mathematics in students of a school in Lima (Perú). For this, the quantitative approach of correlational type was used. The participants were a total of 132 students selected through a descriptive non-probabilistic sampling procedure; who responded to a questionnaire for the variable of family support of 12 items organized in three dimensions and an exam for the variable of learning mathematics of four questions. The preliminary results showed adequate levels of factorial validity and reliability with a Cronbach's Alpha coefficient of .88. Finally, it was observed in the results that parental support is not important for learning in mathematics. It is concluded, that the results are worrying because a greater participation of parents was expected in relation to the learning of mathematics.
