Objective: To determine the resilience of people receiving food assistance, residents of the Víctor Raúl Haya de la Torre association in Independencia, Lima- 2021. Materials and methods: It was a quantitative research with a descriptive and cross-sectional design. 155 individuals participated and the applied questionnaire was the CD-RISC 25. Results: Regarding resilience in the participants, the high level predominated with 69.0% (n=107), followed by the medium level with 22.6% (n=35) and the low level with 8.4% (n=13). According to its dimensions in persistence, tenacity and self-efficacy, the high level predominated with 69.7% (n=108), followed by the medium level with 19.4% (n=30) and the low level with 11.0% (n=17); in control under pressure, the high level predominated with 69.0% (n=107), followed by the medium level with 21.3% (n=33) and the low level with 9.7% (n=15); In adaptation and ability to recover, the high level predominated with 58.7% (n=91), followed by the medium level with 32.9% (n=51) and the low level with 8.4% (n=13); in control and purpose, the high level predominated with 69.0% (n=107), followed by the medium level with 21.9% (n=34) and the low level with 9.0% (n=14) and in spirituality, the high level predominated with 58.1% (n=90), followed by the medium level with 32.3% (n=50) and the low level with 9.7% (n=15). Conclusions: The value of resilience that showed the highest frequency was the high level, followed by the medium and low level. In the dimensions, the high level had a higher frequency.
