Objective: To determine the risk of type 2 diabetes in people who attend a primary health service center in Puente Piedra, 2022. Materials and methods: this was a quantitative approach research with a descriptive-cross-sectional methodological design. The sample for this study consisted of 136 participants. The technique was the survey and the evaluation instrument was the Findrisc Test, which was composed of 8 indicators. Results: Regarding the risk of type 2 diabetes, the moderate level predominated with 31.6% (n=43), followed by the low level with 30.1% (n=41), the slightly high level with 29.4% (n=40), the high level with 7.4% (n=10) and the very high level with 1.5% (n=2). Concerning the indicators, those who are between 55-64 years old predominated in age with 31.6% (n=43), in BMI ranges predominated those who have less than 25 kg/m2 with 53.7% (n= 73), in abdominal perimeter predominated the ones between 94 to 102 cm in men or 80 to 88 cm in women with 41.9% (n=57), those ones who exercise predominated in physical activity with 51.5% (n=70), in consumption of vegetables/fruits predominated those ones who consume them daily with 50.0% (n=68), in medications for hypertension predominated the ones who do not take medications with 86.0% (n=117 ), in hyperglycemia predominated the ones who did not have it with 83.8% (n=114) and finally, in family history predominated those ones who did not have it with 56.6% (n=77). Conclusions: Regarding the risk of diabetes, the moderate level predominated, followed by low level, the slightly elevated level, the high level and the very high level.
