Objective: To determine the prevalence of perceived stress during the COVID-19 pandemic in students of a nursing program in Northern Lima, 2022. Materials and methods: The research approach was quantitative with a descriptive/cross-sectional design. 60 nursing students in the last year of studies took part in this research. The data collection technique was the survey and the instrument used in this study was the EPP-10 questionnaire, which consists of 10 items and 2 dimensions. Results: Regarding age, the findings revealed that the minimum was 20 years and the maximum was 38 years, with a mean of 26.30. Concerning perceived stress, the medium level predominated with 58.3% (n=35), followed by the low level with 21.7% (n=13) and the high level with 20% (n=12). According to its dimensions, the low level predominated in general distribution with 66.7% (n=40), followed by the medium level with 30% (n=18) and the high level with 3.3% (n=2) and finally, the low level predominated in coping capacity with 61.7% (n=37), followed by the medium level with 35% (n=21) and the high level with 3.3% (n=2). Conclusions: Regarding perceived stress, the medium level predominated, followed by the high and low level. According to its dimensions, the low level predominated in general distress, followed by the medium and high level and finally, the low level predominated in coping capacity, followed by the medium and high level.
