The present study is based on the research, carried out by the authors, called “Application of Working Method And Ergonomic To Optimize The Packaging Process In An Asparagus Industry” (Garcia et al., 2021) which is aimed at developing a proposal to improve the labor productivity of the packaging station in an asparagus agro-export company by combining the work method, workload capacity analysis, poka-yoke and redesign of the workplace. For this reason, the study identifies the causes that would be generating productivity below the required level. As a result, the improvement begins with the application of the ADKAR model, which will reduce the resistance to change of the operators, subsequently a redesign of the workplace is applied according to the RULA ergonomic evaluation, for the incorrect posture of the workers. On the other hand, Poka-Yoke is implemented to reduce the amount of reprocessing. In addition, to reduce work overload, workload capacity analysis applied, since there is a lack of operators in the area. Finally, unnecessary transfers will be eliminated through the standardization of a new work method. It was validated through simulation in the Arena Simulation and Delmia V5 software, in which a significant improvement in the indicators could be observed. The results show that an increase in labor productivity by 19.74% was achieved.
