Parentalidad positiva y apoyo social en madres adolescentes en Lima Metropolitana

Abstract

La finalidad del estudio es decretar el vínculo entre la parentalidad positiva y el apoyo social. El objetivo general del estudio es determinar la relación entre la parentalidad positiva y el apoyo social en mujeres que hayan sido madres durante la adolescencia. La muestra estuvo conformada por 119 madres adolescentes de la ciudad de Lima entre los 15-19 años, con hijos menores de 3 años. La edad promedio de las madres fue de 17.3 años, con una desviación estándar de 1.2 años. La Escala de parentalidad positiva (e2p) y la escala multidimensional de apoyo social (EMAS, Apéndice E) se utilizaron como instrumentos de medición. En cuanto a los resultados, existe una correlación positiva altamente significativa entre las dimensiones aps total, amigos, familia y personas relevantes con par total, vinculares, formativas, protectoras y reflexivas, con p < .001. Se muestra que a mayor proporción de apoyo social mayor proporción de parentalidad positiva en las madres adolescentes. La conclusión de esta investigación es que existe una correlación positiva significativa entre el apoyo social y la parentalidad positiva en madres adolescentes en Lima Metropolitana. Esto subraya la importancia de brindar apoyo social a las madres adolescentes para fomentar un ambiente de crianza positivo.

The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between positive parenting and social support. The general objective of the study is to determine the relationship between positive parenting and social support in women who have been mothers during adolescence. The sample was made up of 119 teenage mothers from the city of Lima between 15-19 years old, with children under 3 years old. The average age of the mothers was 17.3 years, with a standard deviation of 1.2 years. The Positive Parenting Scale (e2p) and the Multidimensional Social Support Scale (EMAS, Appendix E) were used as measurement instruments. Regarding the results, there is a highly significant positive correlation between the dimensions aps total, friends, family and relevant people with total pair, bonding, formative, protective and reflective, with p < .001. It is shown that the greater the proportion of social support, the greater the proportion of positive parenting in adolescent mothers. The conclusion of this research is that there is a significant positive correlation between social support and positive parenting in adolescent mothers in Metropolitan Lima. This underscores the importance of providing social support to teen mothers to foster a positive parenting environment.
