The present research work is entitled IAS 19 short-term employee benefits and financial statements of a service company, from the district of Cercado de Lima, 2021; the objective was to determine the relationship between IAS 19 short-term benefits and the financial statements; According to the guidelines, a correlational and applied research was applied, with a quantitative approach, a non-experimental and cross-sectional research design; the sample was made up of 30 collaborators, a Likert-type survey was chosen, made up of 33 questions, 15 for IAS 19 short-term employee benefits and 18 for financial statements. To find the validity of the instruments, Cronbach's Alpha was used, the value of the coefficient was 0.853 IAS 19 short-term employee benefits and for financial statements a coefficient of 0.738 resulted. The results showed that there is a relationship between IAS 19 short-term benefits and financial statements, with a Pearson correlation of 0.632 with a level of error of 0.01, in other words, there is a moderate and positive relationship. The conclusion denotes that, the more efficient IAS 19 is, the short-term benefit of the financial statements will also be.
