The study addresses the housing problem in the 28 de Julio Human Settlement in Chiclayo, proposing solutions based on progressive and adaptable social housing. The historical and conceptual evolution of social housing in Peru and Latin America is examined, highlighting its importance in improving the quality of life of disadvantaged populations. A mixed methodological approach is adopted that combines quantitative and qualitative analyses. This approach is based on applied research, which integrates theory and practice to address the problems raised in the study. A descriptive-correlational design is used to provide a detailed explanation of the social phenomena in a specific temporal context and determine the relationship between key variables. The current situation of the settlement is analyzed, identifying challenges in terms of infrastructure, habitability and spatial organization. And finally, urban and architectural strategies are proposed to address these needs, including the revitalization of connecting roads, the integration of educational and commercial facilities, and the implementation of specific housing typologies. These measures seek to strengthen the infrastructure and community environment, promoting a more inclusive and sustainable urban development.
