Autoestima en niños de IV y V ciclo de educación básica regular de una institución educativa, San José 2020

Abstract

Los niños se encuentran en constante desarrollo, la autoestima es un concepto importante para la etapa de niñez intermedia, por lo tanto, es imposible dejar de estudiarla en el campo educativo. La presente investigación tuvo la finalidad de medir el nivel de autoestima en alumnos que pertenecen a una institución educativa particular, San José-Lambayeque, determinar su nivel en las dimensiones personal, familiar, académica y social, así como determinar el nivel de la misma según sexo, edad e identificar los factores sociodemográficos que influyen en la misma. El estudio fue de tipo no experimental y descriptiva. La muestra estuvo conformada por estudiantes de IV Y V ciclo de educación básica regular de un colegio particular del distrito de San José, a quienes se les evaluó con el inventario de Coopersmith versión escolar que consta de 58 ítems, posterior a ello se analizaron los datos y se agruparon según sexo y edad, así como se identificaron los datos sociodemográficos que intervienen en el desarrollo de la autoestima. Se obtuvieron como resultados que con mayor frecuencia los alumnos presentan una autoestima en nivel promedio, con menor frecuencia en la dimensión personal. Se concluye que el nivel de autoestima en la población que fue estudiado se encuentra en nivel promedio, con nivel bajo de autoestima en la dimensión personal, con mayor frecuencia de autoestima promedio en varones y en niños de 8 a 9 años, de la misma manera existen factores sociodemográficos que influyen en un nivel adecuado de autoestima como son la escolaridad de los padres, el nivel socioeconómico, la figura de autoridad en casa, el número de hermanos y el tipo de familia.

The results obtained were that students more frequently present self-esteem at an average level, less frequently in the personal dimension. It is concluded that the level of self-esteem in the population that was studied is at an average level, with a low level of self-esteem in the personal dimension, with a higher frequency of average self-esteem in men and in children from 8 to 9 years of age, in the same way There are sociodemographic factors that influence an adequate level of self-esteem, such as parental education, socioeconomic level, authority figure at home, number of siblings, and type of family.
