Pressure injuries (PLP) constitute a serious health problem with important repercussions on patients who suffer from them. Intensive care units (ICU) care for patients at high risk for the development of pressure injuries (PPI), which is the objective of this research work. Describe nursing care in the prevention of LPP in ICU patients. The methodology of Enfermería basada en evidencia (EBE), being a secondary investigation, to answer the clinical question What are the nursing care for the prevention of LPP in ICU patients? To collect information, databases such as: Pubmed, Epistemonikos, Biblioteca virtual en salud. The information was validated using Gálvez Toro's list of apparent validity and usefulness, taking a total of 16 investigations related to the topic, of which 5 met the evaluation criteria. Finally, the research titled: Effectiveness on hospital-acquired pressure ulcers prevention: a systematic review, for systematic review through the CASPE guideline, with a level of evidence and degree of recommendation II-A. In response to the clinical question, the findings demonstrated that the nurse is responsible for developing proactive routines for the prevention of LPP and implementing programs of interventions that adhere to nursing regulations that are based on the care of injuries that are most effective in reducing the incidence of LPP in hospitalized patients.
