The present research aims to develop the improvement and design of the road section crossing Agua Salada-Baños Termales-Tambillo, Chancay Baños, Santa Cruz-Cajamarca 2021, where we find the following specific objectives, to carry out traffic, topographic and mechanical studies of soils, evaluate a new route or route variants that always maintain the connection between the obligatory crossing points, carry out the geometric design, works of art and the structural layer of the road, carry out hydrological and meteorological studies through the use of software ArcGIS, evaluate the environmental impact study, carry out a maintenance program for the road infrastructure, evaluate the benefit / cost to determine the feasibility of the project. This road is at the level of a carriageway and is in the district of Chancay Baños, it does not have the minimum dimensions required to be used by vehicular traffic, since it is in poor condition and because of the constant rains in the area becomes impassable. In addition, it does not have drainage and sewerage systems for the evacuation of water, this causes landslides and the formation of puddles, causing vehicles that travel daily to be stranded. Therefore, this thesis project proposes the improvement of the road, the design of the structural layer is approximately 13 km, and it will be at the level of flexible pavement, also the execution of works of art and drainage. To achieve the purpose of this project, the inductive-experimental methodology will be used.
