The locality of Túcume features a wide variety of mud constructions. These adobe and wattle-and-daub buildings not only form part of our culture but also represent the legacy of our ancestors. Currently, these systems are disappearing due to misconceptions of social and economic nature that discourage their use. Additionally, the limited knowledge of working with these materials and the lack of awareness about their benefits contribute to their decline. Through this, the objective is to identify the proper functioning of earth construction systems by mapping the houses, their architectural characteristics, and the elements that constitute the construction system. The methodology used has a mixed approach, using tools such as redrawing, photography, observation cards, as well as interviews. In this context, the locality of Túcume presented suitable conditions for conducting this research, revealing the various systems in the houses and how they are constructed.
