The purpose of this study is to know about frequency of children with dental anxiety to face up to dental practice and it related factors such as age, sex, previous dental experience, tales from relative or friends and dentistry clothes. They were evaluated 40, from 5-9 years of age, of both sexes, who arrived to dental clinic Jose Carlos Mariategui University, Moquegua, in June and July 2015. I’ve executed an anxiety evaluation previously to dental practice, through Venham Picture Test Modified (VPT Modified), where each negative feeling is equal to a point. The results were estimateed statisticly by Pearson’s Chi Square test, with a 5% where it was found that 15% of the study population presented Anxiety to the dental office. On the other hand, we observed that anxiety to dental practice is most prevalent in the ages of 6 and 9 years old (33.3%). About sex, on average 8 out of 10 anxious children were males (83.3%). So, about previous dental experience, tales from relative or friends and dentistry clothes, was observed that there is no significant relationship with the anxiety of children from the dental practice (value p > 0,05).
