Abstract: En el presente trabajo de investigación se explican las principales características, metodologías, funcionalidades y otras generalidades acerca de los “Sistemas web para la gestión de las citas médicas online”, además, se hace referencia a las características y procedimientos estandarizados que se debe seguir al agendar una cita médica en cualquier institución prestadora de servicios de salud. En efecto, se explica la arquitectura que debe poseer este tipo de sistemas, resaltando que debe ser una arquitectura coherente y lógica que le permita ser indexado rápidamente por los motores de búsqueda, también, se detalla el uso de la metodología RUP como guía sistemática durante todo el desarrollo del software, igualmente, se describe un conjunto de herramientas y lenguajes de programación, como: JavaScript, Node, React, IDE Visual Studio, HTML y CSS3 y MySQL, incluso, se indican los aspectos de calidad basados en la ISO 25010. Aunado a esto, se estable una serie de buenas prácticas para garantizar un servicio de calidad. En tal sentido, dada la importancia del tema en estudio si indicaron algunas recomendaciones con la finalidad de contribuir con nuevos conceptos complementarios a los estudios previos.
Finalmente, los resultados obtenidos en este trabajo de investigación concluyeron que los sistemas de este tipo son de fácil adecuación, no necesitan grandes capacidades de rendimiento, son versátiles, y debido a la potencia de estos se concluye que son de gran ayuda para mitigar las altas demandas de las citas médicas en tiempo de pandemia.
In the present research work, the main characteristics, methodologies, functionalities and other generalities about the “web systems for the management of online medical appointments“ are explain, in addition, reference is made to the characteristics and standardized procedures that must be followed when schedule a medical appointment at any institution that provides health services. In effect, the architecture that this type of system must have is explained, highlighting that it must be a coherent and logical architecture that allows it to be quickly indexed by search engines, also, the use of the RUP methodology is detailed as a systematic guide during all software development, likewise, a set of tools and programming languages are described, such as: JavaScript, Node, React, IDE Visual Studio, HTML and CSS3 and MySQL, including quality aspects based on ISO 25010. In addition to this, a series of good practices are established to guarantee a quality service. In this sense, given the importance of the subject under study, they indicated some recommendations in order to contribute with new complementary concepts to previous studies. Finally, the results obtained in this research work concluded that systems of this type are easy to adapt, do not need large performance capacities, are versatile, and due to their power, it is concluded that they are of great help to mitigate the high demands of medical appointments in pandemic time.
