The general objective was to implement a web system as a strategy, in the optimization of inventory management in a social program of the Peruvian State. The strategy was that by developing in a web environment, connection to the system was easier and simpler, from any computer or mobile device connected to the network. The following methodology was used: The type of research is applied, since it is based on solving the problems identified in the inventory management of computer equipment, thus improving the control of assigned equipment, control of acquisitions and control of contracted equipment, with a quantitative approach. The research design is pre-experimental, since it will evaluate the inventory management of computer equipment before and after applying the proposal to the project. The data collection technique used is the survey and the instrument used is the questionnaire. The population is finite and is made up of 100 workers from the areas of the Information Technology unit and the Territorial Units of the Social Program at the national level and the sample is made up of the census population, that is, 100 workers. The conclusions reached in the investigation prove that the implementation of a web system significantly improves the inventory management of computer equipment by 76%, according to the data obtained by the surveys.
