The small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that develop foreign trade activities lack technical knowledge or expertise, a shortage of financial support, and a high-level informality. In most cases, this situation forces them to hire foreign trade operators’ services that don't provide the required guarantees for the job, trying to reduce their costs, they get back instead repercussions in financial losses, damage to the corporate image, and the relationship with their clients. Implementing the Design Thinking methodology, it went proven that the SME segment shows great interest in the recruiting of comprehensive services providing security in the export-import processes by grouping the following banks: Banco de Crédito del Perú (BCP), Ransa Comercial, and Pacifico Compañía de Insurance, and Reinsurance services. They belong to one of the most solid economic groups in the country. This research proposed a digital foreign trade ecosystem for SMEs, linking the processes of these three factors, offering a disruptive and sustainable value proposal to entrepreneurs who practice international business activities. In this way, noticing the proposed solution, a safe escalation to the remaining of the country's financial institutions is drafted in a future projection, supporting the needs of SMEs in optimizing resources, avoiding unnecessary expenses, saving time, and granting security and confidence according to the terms agreed between the importer and exporter.
