The development of technology has led to one of the serious environmental pollution problems of nowadays, produced by Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), because its components contain substances highly harmful to the environment and health. According to international studies, in 2019 around 53.6 million metric tons of this type of waste were generated worldwide, managing to recycle only 17.4%. This continuous increase has prompted various countries to take action and Peru is no exception, which is why it has taken initiatives to minimize this impact. The problem identified in Mabe Peru is the inadecuate management of the WEEE due of lack of awareness among stakeholders, from the trading company until costumers during the life cycle of the products. In order to provide a solution to the problem, it is proposed to implement a strategy based on strengthening its social commitment and development of digital tools, with the relaunch of the institutional website accompanied by a mobile version where new modules are presented, being the main “Responsible Mabe“, which will provide information on the activities carried out by the company to collaborate with the environment, as well as provide tools to consumers for the correct use of equipment during and after its use. Additionally, modules such as “Online Commercial Advisor“ and the “Virtual Store“ will be implemented, which will allow adaptation to new consumers and which can be self-financing over time. This initiative will be complemented with the use of the information generated through digital media, as well as that provided by the sales promotion service, with the purpose that managers will be able to make correct decisions.
