This is a research into the importance of including essential factors in the design of norms that ensure their correct implementation. In this case, considering the importance of mental health care for servers dealing directly and daily with people affected by genderbased violence, it has been considered to analyze the Guidelines for the prevention and care of Professional Exhaustion Syndrome (SAP, acronyms in spanish) in Line 100 service operators of the National Program Against Family and Sexual Violence (PNCVFS, acronyms in spanish). These guidelines seek to protect the comprehensive health of operators, prevent them from acquiring the syndrome and avoid unfavorable impacts on their job performance, interpersonal relationships and quality of care they provide to users. In that sense, the overall objective of the research is to analyze the essential factors in the design of the guidelines, as well as, to know the perception of Line 100 service operators regarding the implementation of the norm, so that, together with the risk assessment of the presence of the syndrome in them, propose improvements. Line 100 operators of the afternoon shift from monday to friday were taken as unit of analysis. The development of research used qualitative techniques for collecting information, applying a total of 39 semi-structured interviews and Maslach Burnout questionnaires or inventories. From the research, it has been possible to identify the essential factors in the design of the guidelines that allow their implementation, know the perspective of operators who consider important and useful to implement the norm, as well as, the risk of the syndrome presence in them. In addition, because of the analysis carried out, a proposal for planning the implementation of the Guidelines for the prevention and care of the Professional Exhaustion Syndrome in the operators of Line 100 service has been developed.
