In recent years, the therapeutic process research has gained great relevance, and within it, the analysis of interactive elements that facilitate the construction of change, such as the study of communicative intentions (IC). In this context, this research analyzes from the patient therapist interaction, how the contents of the IC, contribute to the achievement of moments of change in a process of Brief Dynamic Interpersonal Psychotherapy (Lemma et al., 2018) of a woman in a situation of violence. For this research, a qualitative research methodology is used based on the application of the Therapeutic Activity Coding System (Krause et al., 2009) in the episodes of change in the therapeutic process. With the coded IC, subtopics that respond to the contents found within them are constructed and analyzed. As main findings, stands out the variation in the appearance of IC throughout the episodes of change according to each actor and phase of the process. In the same way, the complementarity in the appearance of IC is revealed, and it shows how the content within them facilitates the assembly of new meanings that derive in elements of change. It is also observed that the contents from the exploratory and syntonic intentions appear in constant movement, while the contents of the resignifying IC are more of a self-reflective origin. Is mainly identified the power of the attunement’s contents for the change achievement. These attunement’s contents are presented from different axes that are transformed according to the communicative actor and in relation to the episode of change and phase of the process.
