The present assignment proposes to attend to a relevant social problem related to the difficulty that the mechanical woman has to obtain job opportunities in the automotive sector. Gender stereotyping in Peru hinders the professional development of mechanical women, since it considers that girls and women are excluded from activities traditionally associated with men, according to the Diagnosis of Gender Stereotyping in Consumption and Advertising in Peru carried out by the National Institute for the Defense of Competition and the Protection of Intellectual Property INDECOPI. The problem also occurs in different Latin American countries, however, there are already private initiatives in Chile, Mexico, and Argentina. In Peru there is still no adequate focus to the problem. The solution proposal by “Adictas a las Ruedas”, proposes the creation of mechanical workshops oriented to preventive, corrective maintenance and washing operated 90% by women. Adictas a las Ruedas will train women entrepreneurs in automotive mechanics so that in the medium term they can create their own enterprises. The project will be developed in Metropolitan Lima. The SDGs on which it seeks to impact are the following: SDG 5: Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls; and SDG 10: Reduce inequality within and among countries. The objectives searched are to provide employment for female mechanics to demonstrate that female mechanics have the same technical skills as their male colleagues and at the same time there is a need to create a workshop where women with vehicles can attend independently without male accompaniment. Finally, the viability of the project and the profitability obtained in the financial evaluation are demonstrated with an NPV of S/ 2,204,494 and a Social Net Present Values of S/885,368.
