Personnel turnover represents a latent problem in most mining contracting companies and in the particular case of this research, the contractor Servicios Mineros Tena SAC, which has an average turnover of 6%, with an expected turnover of 3%. There are factors that generate high turnover and that in turn directly affect its costs. By applying personnel exit surveys taking as reference the rotation factors proposed by the methodology of Torrington, Hall and Taylor (2005), those that directly affect the contractor Servicios Mineros Tena SAC can be identified and in turn classified as highest. at lower incidence using a Pareto diagram. Chiavenato (2017) classification of turnover costs allows us to quantify the total cost generated by the incidence of these turnover factors. The main rotation factors found were external, whose main reasons are based on long distances from their places of origin (76% of responses), personal and family problems (24% of responses) and functional, whose most representative reasons are summarized in transportation not suitable for the section of trip made (58% of responses) and habitability not in accordance with what the worker expected (27% of responses). The extra costs associated with these factors total S/151,636.28 soles in a period of one year. The measures that will allow a reduction in turnover at the contractor Servicios Mineros Tena SAC must be taken based on an economic and social benefit. Their application will allow us to obtain an average turnover of 1% (5% less than the current one) and a monthly extra cost of S/.4,180 soles (S/.9,524 soles less per month).
