This research focuses on analyzing a unique perspective of male friendship in audiovisual fiction: the bromance in the screeplay of Owari no Seraph. Bromance is defined as a deep and intimate friendship between men, free of sexual connotations, thus challenging the norms imposed by machismo and hegemonic masculinity. Given the importance and need to normalize diverse masculinities, it is crucial to highlight how narratives in which bromance is central can influence the perception of masculinity, the dynamics of male friendship, and, above all, its representation. This research adopts a descriptive and interpretive approach, supported by an inductive method and a qualitative approach. It seeks to analyze the representation of masculinities through bromance, with a particular focus on the conflicts, character design and narrative structure in Owari no Seraph. In the results obtained, it is identified that bromance is an essential element in the plot of the series, and that the presence of both masculine and feminine characteristics in the protagonist and deuteragonist serves to make the narrative and profiles of the characters more complex and richer. This work is aimed at the academic community and those interested in the construction of diverse narratives and characters. The main conclusion highlights that, unlike other shonen, Owari no Seraph gives the bromance exceptional intensity and transcendence, making it the cornerstone for the development of the story and the unique representation of male friendship in the series. Furthermore, it is proposed that future research can explore how other audiovisual products address bromance and the representation of male friendship, as well as reflect on the possible practical implications of these findings in the production of future audiovisual content.
