During the internship in the PUCP Saludable (Healthy PUCP) program, the psychological competencies of diagnosis, intervention and evaluation have been encompassed. Regarding diagnosis, support has been given by executing psychological instruments in order to have a current diagnosis of the health habits of the PUCP community. Thus, such diagnoses will be helpful for research purposes and the development of interventions, by designing activities oriented to work on the identified problems. Regarding the program’s interventions, these have been based on the methodology of Participatory Action Research (PAR) with respect to health promotion and the five themes of the program (physical activity, healthy eating, sleep hygiene, stress management, and use of psychoactive substances). In this vein, one of the main functions has been to support in the design and execution of the activities, both virtually and on-site. Lastly, evaluation plans were implemented with the goal of knowing the efficacy of said activities, as well as the impact of the program in the community. It should be said that one of the main challenges has been to reach a representative sample of students and the student body with the most needs, making alliances with diverse strategic agents. During the internship, the student improves her skills acquired in the undergraduate period; especially, in the field of health psychology.
