The current architectural panorama is governed by ocularcentrism, causing other important design factors, such as acoustics, to be neglected. Ocularcentrism is questioned through the relationship between architecture and acoustics. As case studies, three buildings with a striking geometry are taken. Which are: the Tauro Cinema (1960), the Mario Vargas LLosa Auditorium (2006) and the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (2010). The relationship between architecture and acoustics is treated under four parameters: the sound conditions of outer space; the idea, the form and the structure; the sound event, the interior space and the materials; and construction techniques, acoustic technologies and final acoustic perceptions. In this way, the degree of use of acoustics and the correct or not application of it in these architectural projects can be identified.
