Sexuality is an inherent axis in people's life’s, involving sex, identity, roles, sexual orientation, eroticism, reproduction, intimacy, among many other practices. Despite its diversity, it is catalogued and hierarchized, which leads to the creation of a definition of normality around it. The sexuality of people with disabilities is conceived from the abject, it is omitted, sanctioned and violated. From the intersectional approach it becomes evident that the situation of women with disabilities and specifically women with Down syndrome, is in a particular level of discrimination due to the negative conception that implies the crossing of the categories; women, disability and within this intellectual disability. This thesis, based on a qualitative methodology, collects and organized into categories the components, stereotypes, prejudices and barriers surrounding the exercise of sexuality of a group of older women with Down syndrome living in Lima metropolitana. Finally, the information obtained was systematized under the framework of the ecological model, which allowed us to understand the different social levels that influence the construction of the participants' sexuality.
